Weight Systems

Much like any weight system, a quick-release design is ideal for freediving and spearfishing practices. 

It is good practice to ensure you are weighted correctly during freediving and spearfishing activities, the easiest way to achieve this is to ensure you are neutrally buoyant at your deepest intended depth (neutral buoyancy = neither sinking nor floating). 

Latex, or silicone belts are often preferred over nylon, due to the greater stretch. This allows divers to take an unrestricted final breath on the surface, allowing for greater bottom times.
